Requirements:
• Must have strong passion for Strength and Conditioning at the next level
• Must carry certification or degree in personal training, cross fit and/or kinesiology
• Must have working knowledge of stretching professional athletes
• Must be able to meet physical demands of working with professional athletes both in the weight room and on the field
• Must be available for 20 or more hours a week and all nine home games
• Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds

• Must be able to work on a scissor lift for up to three hours at a time

Media Relations/Marketing Internship – Arizona Rattlers - Arizona Rattlers (Mesa, AZ)

Responsibilities:

Media Relations: The Media Relations/Marketing Intern will assist in all areas of the Media & PR Department for the Arizona Rattlers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: cultivating media contacts and maintaining an updated and comprehensive media and public relations list, handling media credential requests, compose and distribute press releases, game notes and media guide.

Marketing: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with all online content management (including social media), participation in grass roots marketing efforts, and participating in the overall planning and execution of Rattlers marketing initiatives. Opportunities to develop online content will exist through the creation of videos, photos, or news updates for the rattlers website and other outlets.


General duties: The applicant will be expected to assist the Rattlers Front Office in all administrative tasks, including, but not limited to: assisting with community outreach events and appearances, executing grassroots marketing efforts, helping maintain the overall condition of the US Airways Center, performing as Stryker the team’s mascot on occasion, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:
The applicant must be currently enrolled in an accredited university. The applicant must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask and meet deadlines on a routine basis. A strong operating background with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and a graphic design software is preferred. Experience with audio and video editing is also preferred.
 
Compensation:
Position is unpaid, and applicant must earn college credit for work.

The Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League is seeking a video intern for the remainder of the 2013 season. This is a non-paid entry-level position with no on-field coaching responsibilities.

Mastery of digital video editing experience and extensive computer knowledge is a plus.

MUST be available mornings and early afternoons 3 days a week and work home games on weekends.

This internship is ideal for someone that is serious about pursuing a career in sales with a professional sports team. It will provide sales, customer service, ticket operations, and fulfillment experience.
 

JOB SUMMARY: The Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League are offering an opportunity to current college level students looking to gain real world sales experience and position themselves for a career in the Sports Industry upon graduation. Our emphasis is to provide significant challenges, varying daily operational requirements and opportunity for creativity, resourcefulness, and excellence.
 

This internship is available for  full-time candidates. Full time includes office hours (8:30 - 5:30), from May through August. 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Daily outbound sales campaigns
• Assisting the sales department in day to day ticket operations.
• Attending/staffing outside events (sales tables)
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned (i.e. contract fulfillment).
• Assisting clients and providing customers service  

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Candidates must have a desire to work hard to gain sales experience in the professional sports/entertainment industry. Looking for aggressive , intelligent , social, 'people person(s)'. Candidates must be self-motivating, reliable and enthusiastic. Candidate is able to receive college credit based on the specific requirements form his/her school. Candidate is responsible for all travel and parking.

Fall 2013 Accounting Intern - Philadelphia Soul (Philadelphia, PA)

The Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League are seeking highly motivated college-level students striving to gain accounting experience and position themselves for a career in the Sports Industry upon graduation.  This internship will provide much opportunity for growth, but will require hard work, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness.  The position runs during the fall 2013 semester.  Applicant must be able to receive college credit.

 

 

 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn the organization's coding, voucher and invoice system
  • Perform daily journal entries by using basic accounting software
  • Prepare monthly tenant billings
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis
  • Assist in month-end closing
  • Assist in preparing and mailing checks
  • Perform bank analysis
  • File vendor invoices
  • Communicate with vendors for questions, invoices and feedback
  • Order office supplies and equipment as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail and an analytical & careful eye to help identify any data entry issues
  • Basic accounting/business background
