Sports and Events Intern - Orlando Predators (Orlando, FL)

The Orlando Predators are hiring for a Sports and Events Intern. This is a full-year opportunity for you to expand your knowledge in a professional sports setting while networking with others in a similar field. The Sports and Events interns will work directly with the Sports and Events Manager and VP of Ticket Sales and Service. The main duties of this Internship include assisting in community sport events and fundraisers as well as planning and executing game day events and promotions. This internship is primarily offered for college credit, but can also be offered to recent graduates looking for experience in the Sports and Events field.  This is non-paid internship.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in executing fundraising events (In-game and Community)
  • Assist in the set-up and break-down of game day presentation materials
  • Manage Community fundraiser tables on game nights
  • Provide excellent customer service and answer questions for fans as needed
  • Assist with Pred Fest pre-game party set up and take down
  • Responsible for School Incentive Programs
  • Assist with Donation Request fulfillment, including but not limited to writing letters, mailing donations, and making sure donation records are up-to-date
  • Attend all community events
  • Perform all other duties assigned, sometimes in other departments, by the Sports and Events Manager or VP of Sales and Service

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Photoshop skills a plus)
  • Strong creative, organizational, written and verbal skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

TIME:

Graphic Design/Social Media Intern - Philadelphia Soul (Voorhees, NJ)

SUMMARY:

We are looking for a dynamic, driven individual to work as a Graphic Design & Social Media Engagement Intern. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that requires the ability to deliver timely, creative, design support and solutions. The role is responsible for visual communications including development of all sales and marketing materials such as sales collateral and digital graphics.  

The internship will run from September 2016 thru December 2016.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the creative aspects for Soul branding, marketing materials including: print, online, TV, radio, billboards, etc.

  • Assist with the creation, editing, and printing of sales and marketing collateral pieces.

  • Assist and coordinate any non-traditional marketing efforts (distributing flyers/pocket schedules/mascot appearances and creating flyers for these events).

  • Assist with updating and managing philadelphiasoul.com/soulnation and the Soul Nation Facebook group.

  • Manage team’s Twitter account and responsibly update page with humorous, pop-culture statuses daily.

  • Develop content (graphics, campaigns, videos, etc.) to be used on all social media platforms.

  • Presenting finalized ideas and concepts.

  • Provide input, ideas and concepts for the overall marketing campaign.

  • Understand the Soul's brand essence and create and develop impactful artwork and designs.

  • Suggest new ideas and approach to the Soul's marketing strategy.

  • Other duties will be designated by the Company as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in graphic arts and/or related field, previous experience with agency or professional sports team is ideal but not required.

  • Hard working individual that enjoys working independently.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must know Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
  • HTML experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize workload, with on-time and high-quality delivery.

  • Ability to work under tight/strict deadlines.

  • Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment.

  • Must have good organizational skills.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Must have good communication and excellent writing skills.

Sales & Business Development Intern - Philadelphia Soul (Philadelphia, PA)

This internship is ideal for someone that is serious about pursuing a career in sales with a professional sports team. It will provide sales, customer service, ticket operations, and fulfillment experience. This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Sales & Service.

JOB SUMMARY: The Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League is offering an opportunity to current college level students looking to gain real world sales experience and position themselves for a career in the Sports Industry upon graduation. Our emphasis is to provide significant challenges, varying daily operational requirements and opportunity for creativity, resourcefulness, and excellence.

This internship is available for full-time candidates, eligible to work for college credit beginning in September. The position runs thru the beginning of December, 2016.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Market research and prospecting

  • Assisting the sales departments in day-to-day operations

  • Acting as a liaison for Soul Partners

  • Creation of partnership proposals

  • Participate in brainstorming and idea development with the goal of creating new revenue platforms

  • Attending/staffing outside events

  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Assisting clients and providing customer service
     

    IDEAL CANDIDATE:
    Candidates must have a desire to work hard to gain sales experience in the professional sports/entertainment industry. Looking for aggressive, intelligent, social, 'people person(s)'. Candidates must be self-motivating, reliable and enthusiastic. Candidate is able to receive college credit based on the specific requirements form his/her school. Candidate is responsible for all travel.
