Football Operations: Coach
Coaching & Player Development Internship - Las Vegas Outlaws (Las Vegas, NV)

The Las Vegas Outlaws are looking for career driven young minds that are committed to putting in the focus, effort, and energy to allow the Outlaws an opportunity to succeed in our inaugural season.  Interns will be working directly with the position coach assigned to them on the practice field along with in the film room. Coaching interns will be asked to prepare and organize drills throughout the practice keeping player energy and practice tempo high throughout.  

Along with all assistant coaching responsibilities, interns will be asked to manage the "player development" aspect of their position group.  The program will be used to open doors for players in hopes to connect with local business owners in the community that have similar work experience to players career goals. 

Coaching responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating practice schedules and scripts
  • Prepping field for drills 
  • Organizing and executing a proper player rep rotation
  • Have a full understanding of position group playbook
  • Ability to breakdown potential player film
  • Creating and administering pre-game tests
  • Assisting players during film review
  • All other quality control duties

Player development responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Keeping an organized updated portfolio on all position players 
  • Schedule meetings with local business owners interested in advising current players
  • Set meeting times with players throughout season to gain feedback after connecting them with a potential post season employer. 
  • Create a Google doc with player career goals to share with coaches and staff members

Applicants must:

  • Have the ability to maintain a positive working relationship with staff
  • Maintain an appropriate player/coach relationship throughout season
  • Ability to think outside the box to create connections for players
  • Be able to commit to at least 20 hours per week 

Ideal applicants have housing available in the city of Las Vegas along with a paid part time job (preferably in the afternoons) as this opportunity is unpaid and only for college credit.

The internship will run through August 15th, 2015

Football Operations: Equipment Manager
Equipment/Operations Internship - Las Vegas Outlaws (Las Vegas, NV)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Las Vegas Outlaws are accepting applications for the position of Equipment Intern for the 2015 football season. Looking for an individual who can commit to 20+ hours per week from March 2015  through August 2015......this is a great "Get foot in door opportunity"

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Assisting the Equipment Manager in daily duties such as…
o Field set-up and clean-up
o Laundry
o Equipment check-out and check-in
o Inventory
• Assist the Equipment Manager in moving equipment for all home and away games.
• Assist in the set-up and clean-up of all locker rooms on game day.
• Assist other members of the organization as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• No previous football experience is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask; excellent organizational and time management 

• Must be able to maintain professional attitude in a pro sport setting

• Must have strong problem solving skills
• Must be meticulous in details
• Must have a strong follow through
• Must be able to work physical hours both on and off the field 
• Must be able to lift at least 50+ pounds
• Must be currently residing in or able to relocate to Las Vegas area (please don’t apply if you don’t meet this criterion)

Football Operations: Player Personnel/Scout
Player Personnel/Football Operations Internship - Las Vegas Outlaws (Las Vegas, NV)

The expansion Las Vegas Outlaws are looking for organized, high energy individuals who can succeed in the fast paced work place of a professional football team. Applicants must have a strong passion to begin a career in professional sports, with a willingness to work as a team member of the Las Vegas Outlaws staff.

This is an unpaid position for college credit only. 

Duties included but not limited to:

  • Assisting in various administrative duties for the coaching staff and personnel department.

  • Maintain scouting database with league rosters, transactions, and prospect board.

  • Research prospective players from various collegiate teams and professional leagues.

  • Talent evaluation; written scouting reports on prospective players, along with breaking down game film of upcoming opponents.

  • Assist with planning Outlaw tryouts throughout the season.

  • Developing relationships with scouts from other leagues: NFL, CFL, IFL, CIFL and the PIFL to schedule workouts throughout the seasons.

  • Scouts will be assigned various projects throughout the season such as attending regional college pro days, quality control tasks, and assisting with the weekly game plan.,

Requirements:
• Must have a desire to learn how a professional football scouting department works from the inside out.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of on field work, as well as general office duties
• Must be available for 20 hours a week
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
