Scouting/Coaching/Operations Internship - Las Vegas Outlaws (Las Vegas, NV)
***Previous Las Vegas Outlaws' Interns have been hired on as full time employees opening up 3 internship positions immediatly.***
Start Date: 6/15/2015
End Date: 8/4/2015 (We will adjust to fall semester college schedules)
The Las Vegas Outlaws of the Arena Football League are half way through their inaugural season and are currently looking for organized, high energy individuals who can succeed in the fast paced work place of a professional football team.
Applicants must have a strong passion to begin a career in professional sports, with a willingness to work as a team member of the Las Vegas Outlaws staff.
THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP & WE DO NOT PROVIDE HOUSING!
Cover letters must include a section describing a plan of action for housing in Las Vegas along with transportation to be considered.
Duties included but not limited to:
Assisting in various administrative duties for the coaching staff and personnel department.
Maintain scouting database with league rosters, transactions, and prospect board.
Research prospective players from various collegiate teams and professional leagues.
Talent evaluation; written scouting reports on prospective players, along with breaking down game film of upcoming opponents.
Assist with planning Outlaw tryouts throughout the season.
Developing relationships with scouts from other leagues: NFL, CFL, IFL, CIFL and the PIFL to schedule workouts throughout the seasons.
Scouts will be assigned various projects throughout the season such as attending regional college pro days, quality control tasks, and assisting with the weekly game plan.
Assisting with position coach's both on the field, in meetings, and in the film room
Assisting with all equipment duties (practice & home games)
Perform operational duties required to run a professional football organization.
Examples: Assisting with food scheduling & distribution, set up & take down of practice equipment, maintaining clean offices & locker rooms, providing transportation to both roster & waiver players (if applicable)
• Must have a desire to learn how a professional football scouting department works from the inside out.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of on field work, as well as general office duties
• Must be available for 20 hours a week (practices are held in the mornings)
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
